Who is KJ Biermann? Son of reality TV star, Kim Zolciak, is facing sexual allegations involving underage relative

KJ Biermann, the 15 year old son of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann, is facing serious criminal allegations in Georgia after prosecutors disclosed additional claims during a recent court hearing.

Biermann was indicted by a Fulton County grand jury on September 3, 2026, following his August 17 arrest. He faces seven felony charges connected to an alleged April 23 incident involving a female classmate. The indictment includes aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment and three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16.

The case took another serious turn during a bond hearing on September 11, when prosecutors disclosed allegations involving a different underage family member. According to prosecutors, investigators found videos on Biermann’s phone that allegedly showed sexual activity involving a family member under the age of 12. Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy also alleged that the videos contained language she described as predatory and derogatory and referred to multiple encounters.

Those claims are separate from the seven felony charges stemming from the alleged April incident involving the female classmate. Prosecutors have said Biermann had been under court supervision since October 2025 in connection with an earlier sexual battery allegation involving a minor. The newly disclosed claims were raised by prosecutors as part of their argument concerning the seriousness of the case and conditions for his release.

Biermann’s defence has strongly disputed the allegations and maintains that he is innocent. His attorney Jason Sheffield has argued that the teenager has been traumatised by his detention and has sought to have the case handled in juvenile court rather than through adult prosecution. Kim Zolciak has also publicly defended her son, saying that he passed a polygraph examination and that no DNA evidence connected him to the allegations in the April case.

The bond hearing resulted in a $200,000 bond for Biermann. The conditions include remaining at his mother’s residence, electronic monitoring, virtual schooling and no contact with minors or the alleged victim. He had been held at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center following his August arrest.

Biermann is one of six children shared by Zolciak and Kroy Biermann, whose relationship has also been the subject of a contentious divorce and custody dispute. His father played in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons before retiring from professional football, while his mother became widely known through The Real Housewives of Atlanta and later appeared in other reality television projects.

The legal proceedings are still ongoing, and the allegations against Biermann have not been established as facts in court. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. His legal team has indicated that it expects him to plead not guilty at his arraignment, which is scheduled for October 14. His lawyers have also asked for the case to be transferred to juvenile court.

The latest allegations have therefore added another layer to an already serious case involving the teenage reality television figure. For now, Biermann’s future in the legal system will depend on upcoming hearings, the court’s decision on the juvenile court request and the evidence presented as the prosecution and defence prepare for the next stage of proceedings.
