Kanye West’s lawsuit in which he was accused of assaulting and drugging his erstwhile assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, has finally been settled after new evidence emerged.
In 2024, Pisciotta sued the 49-year-old American rapper and songwriter for drug abuse, s****** assault, and wrongful termination. Later, she amended her complaint, stating that she was forced to have a drink with an unidentified substance during a studio session co-hosted with Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2010, which ultimately led to a s****** assault, a hostile workplace environment at Yeezy, stalking, and s***** battery.
On the other hand, Jennifer An, a model by profession, also filed a lawsuit under New York City’s Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, claiming that West choked her and forced his fingers into her mouth during a 2010 video shoot. Responding to her allegations, the team of Kim Kardashian’s former husband called it an “unscripted “art” rather than assault.
Now, West’s lawsuit has been dismissed at the request of Pisciotta, who worked with the BULLY crooner from 2021 to 2022.
This settlement comes just four months after singer Elly Jackson, famous as La Roux, alleged that West throttled model An during the filming of La Roux’s 2010 In for the Kill music video in new evidence.
Jackson wrote on his Instagram, “I could never forget that. It was horrific,” explaining, “West smothered [An’s] face with both of his hands, which smeared her makeup.”
“He then rammed several fingers down her throat, continuously moved them in and out, and gagged her (which Plaintiff believed lasted for over a minute) to emulate forced o****** s*****, and screamed, ‘This is art. This is f***** art. I am like Picasso,’” the 38-year-old English singer revealed.
It is pertinent to mention that Kanye West has denied the allegations, clarifying that his conduct was an “expressive” performance and arguing that “the emulation of sexual violence for artistic purposes is not itself sexual violence.”
