What happened to Rosanne Cash? Singer postpones three shows after unexpected medical emergency

Rosanne Cash has postponed three upcoming performances in the US Northwest after experiencing an “unexpected medical emergency”.

The four-time Grammy winner is currently recovering under the supervision of her doctors, with medical professionals advising her not to travel or perform live for the time being.

Her representatives have not disclosed details about the nature of the medical emergency.

The postponements affect three dates on Cash’s current tour with her husband, multi-instrumentalist and producer John Leventhal.

The pair were scheduled to perform in Sheridan, Wyoming, on Tuesday, followed by a show in Billings, Montana, on Wednesday and another in Bozeman, Montana, on Saturday.

Cash and Leventhal have been touring across the country since August. Fans who hold tickets for the affected performances have been advised to keep them until replacement dates are announced.

The health-related break comes after a notable year for the acclaimed singer-songwriter.

In June, Cash joined Bruce Springsteen on stage in New Jersey for a performance of Woody Guthrie’s “Deportee” during the Music America exhibition.

Cash is the eldest daughter of country music legend Johnny Cash. She spent part of her early career touring with her father in the late 1970s before establishing herself as a solo artist.

Her breakthrough came with the 1981 album Seven Year Ache, which helped cement her reputation as an influential figure in country music.

Cash has since built a career spanning several decades and earned four Grammy Awards.
