US negotiators will be in Pakistan tomorrow for Iran ceasefire talks, says Trump

Trump said US special envoy Steve Witkoff is on his way to Pakistan.

US President Donald Trump has announced that US officials will will be heading to the Pakistani capital Islamabad for negotiations urges Iran talks on Monday.

Trump, in a post on social media Sunday, didn’t detail which officials the US would sending to a second round of in-person talks with Iran is Islamabad. The last ceasefire talks led by Vice President JD Vance on April ended without a deal.

Trump said US special envoy Steve Witkoff “is on his way to Pakistan for meetings scheduled for Tuesday,” Arab News reported.

 

“We’re offering a very fair and reasonable deal, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single power plant, and every single bridge, in Iran,” he said.
