US military faces rising costs as Iran conflict reaches $25bn

The U.S. military’s regional command overseeing operations related to Iran has reported that naval vessels deployed in the Middle East are being actively resupplied with fuel, food, ammunition, and other essential logistical support.

United States Central Command (CENTCOM) also released images on social media showing supplies being loaded onto the guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert D. Black.

The vessel is reportedly operating in support of the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group in the region.

Meanwhile U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth informed the Senate that the ongoing conflict related to Iran has cost the U.S. military approximately $25 billion to date.

However independent estimates suggest that the total expenditure may be significantly higher.
