US-Iran deal in flux as Hollywood greenlights first movie on war
Michael Bay to make movie on daring American rescue mission in Iran

As a deal to end the war in the Middle East is in process, Michael Bay has taken a step to produce a movie on it.

According to Deadline, he is zeroing in on the daring two U.S. pilots rescued from Iran during the operatic epic Fury.

For this project, he is teaming up with Universal Pictures, and the movie is adapted from author Mitchell Zuckoff’s upcoming 2027 book on the matter.

Bay also has a history of working with the US military for films.

Starting from The Rock, to Bad Boys, and the war thrillers Pearl Harbour and 13 Hours.

For these projects, the U.S. military provided significant logistical support, including personnel.

Now, for this new opportunity, Bay says he is over the moon.

“I’ve had an amazing partnership over my 30-year career working with the Department of War and amazing U.S. military members.”

He continued, “In my film 13 Hours, no rescue force answered the call for help.”

“This film is about everyone who answered the call in one of the most complex, intricate and high-stakes operations in recent history.”

Not to mention, Bay has been credited for making a series of Transformers movies. His movies combined made over $5 billion globally at the box office.
