Bomb squad at scene; attack not confirmed. Residents told to stay home; some evacuated.
Two people have died after an explosion at a house in the southern English city of Bristol, with authorities treating the cause of the incident as suspicious, local police said on Sunday.
Police, who have declared it a major incident, said they were not treating it as a suspected terrorist incident.
They said enquiries were at an early stage, but that at this point, authorities were not looking for anyone else in connection with the explosion.
Police added that there was not believed to be any significant damage to other properties.

According to Yahoo News, the cause of the blast is still unconfirmed as the incident occurred at 6.30am.
The bomb disposal team reached at the scene. Local police told the residents to stay in their homes. A few residents are being evacuated to a temporary shelter.
It is not believed that the explosion at Sterncourt Road caused significant damage to any other properties.
