Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman, will pay a state visit to the UK as the guest from Tuesday 20th to Thursday 22nd October 2026, palace has announced.
The British royal family announced on Thursday that Sultan will be the guest of King Charles and Queen Camilla during his visit to Britain.
The palace shared a photo of King Charles and the Sultan of Oman, saying “His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman has accepted an invitation from The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from Tuesday 20th – Thursday 22nd October, 2026.”
“The King and Queen will host the state visit at Windsor Castle.”
So far this year, the British royals have hosted state visits by US President Donald Trump in April and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu in March.
Commenting on the palace announcement on Instagram, a royal fan said, “Your Majesty is doing such vital work in encouraging our diplomatic relations on a global scale.
“I look forward to seeing you soon. With greatest respect to your Majesty King Charles and for embracing your social media platform.”
Another said, “God Save Our King and Queen.”
“I always found the Omani people kind, I hope they enjoy their visit, and you their company,” the third said.
“My favourite country the UK love to see both our Kings,” the fifth said.
