Mosaku was pregnant throughout Sinners’ awards campaign, which included an Oscar nomination for supporting actress
Wunmi Mosaku has confirmed that she quietly welcomed her second child earlier this year, months after revealing her pregnancy during the 2026 awards season.
The Sinners actress shared the news in an interview with British Vogue for its October issue, posing with her newborn son and nearly 3-year-old daughter. Her son was 10 weeks old at the time of the photoshoot, while Mosaku has kept both children’s names and faces private.
Mosaku, who is married to talent agent Tash Moseley, announced her pregnancy in January during the Golden Globes, where she walked the red carpet in a custom yellow gown that showcased her baby bump. She explained at the time that, in her Nigerian culture, pregnancy news is traditionally protected and private.
The actress was pregnant throughout Sinners’ awards campaign, which included an Academy Award nomination for supporting actress. She reflected on the experience with British Vogue, describing the awards season as “the most inclusive red carpet run I’d ever had” and praising designers for embracing her changing body.
Mosaku also recalled dealing with “pain, stretching ligaments and exhaustion” while attending events and promoting the Ryan Coogler-directed film.
Alongside her acting career, Mosaku is preparing to launch a maternity wear line called Iyadé. The Yoruba name means “mother has arrived”, and she said the brand was inspired by her own frustrations with maternity and nursing clothing.
The new arrival comes as Mosaku continues to celebrate the success of Sinners, which earned 16 Oscar nominations and won four awards at the 2026 Academy Awards, including Michael B. Jordan’s best actor win and Ryan Coogler’s original screenplay award.
