PM Shehbaz Sharif, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expected to discuss regional and bilateral issues.
RIYADH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior Pakistani officials performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia on Thursday during an official visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
The delegation offered prayers for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity, and the peace and stability of the region.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and other members of the high-level delegation.
The Pakistani leadership arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday and was received by Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to discuss bilateral relations, economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and regional developments.

The meeting is expected to focus on expanding trade ties, attracting investment, and exploring new areas of cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The engagement highlights the continued efforts by both countries to strengthen their longstanding strategic partnership and enhance collaboration in economic and regional matters.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to arrive in Saudi Arabia on Friday for a one-day official visit.
During his visit, Erdogan is expected to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to Burhanettin Duran, head of Turkey’s Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, the meetings will focus on bilateral relations, regional developments, and matters of mutual interest.
Further details regarding the agenda and possible outcomes of the discussions have not been disclosed.
The meetings involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye are expected to provide an opportunity for discussions on regional cooperation and strengthening economic and diplomatic ties.
