Shania Twain has finally unveiled the secret behind her 15-year successful marriage to Frédéric Thiébaud.
In a new interview with People magazine, the 60-year-old country superstar revealed that the secret to her successful relationship with the Swiss businessman is “open communication.”
“He’s really good at reminding both of us that we have to keep communication open,” said Shania.
“He’s the greatest talker, and he’s not inhibited at all with expressing his feelings, which is really wonderful in a man,” the You’re Still The One hitmaker gushed.
“If you have a man that is really open and wants to keep the communication open, you’re blessed as a woman,” she added.
Shania then called her husband Frédéric her “forever true love.”
“This is the love I’m going to grow old with,” the Man! I Feel Like a Woman! singer told the outlet, adding that “it’s a beautiful feeling.”
“I’m sure we’ll always have romance, but there’s a depth and a gratitude that I have about having this love,” she continued. “And if I [had] met Fred as a teenager, I do believe that he would have been my lifelong love even from then. It just takes sometimes years to find that person.”
For those unversed, Shania tied the knot with Frédéric in 2011.
