Selena Gomez has shared a glimpse of her hopes of becoming a mother one day after posting a photo with a newborn baby on Instagram Stories.
The Only Murders in the Building star shared the image on Monday, September 7, writing over the photo, “One day.”

Gomez is married to music producer Benny Blanco whom she wed in September 2025 after getting engaged in December 2024.
She has previously spoken openly about her desire to become a parent.
In a 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, Gomez revealed, “I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children.”
“I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s life in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she said.
Gomez explained that surrogacy and adoption are possibilities for her, saying, “I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.”
She added, “At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
Blanco has also spoken about wanting children.
In a June 2025 interview with InStyle, he said, “I love kids; I love being an uncle. I want to be a dad, though, God willing. I’m just dreaming and praying every day.”
The comments and Gomez’s latest Instagram post suggest that starting a family remains an important hope for the couple.
