
RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed 14 militants during an intelligence-based operation in Naal area of Khuzdar district, Balochistan after receiving information about a planned attack on a police station and banks.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence reports received on June 8 indicated the presence of militants belonging to what it described as the Indian proxy group “Fitna al-Hindustan” in the area.
Acting on the information, security forces launched a swift and effective operation, successfully thwarting the militants’ movement and plans, the statement said.
During an intense exchange of fire, 14 militants were killed and several others were injured. Security forces also destroyed four vehicles being used by the militants and recovered and neutralized improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at the site.
The ISPR said Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbas embraced martyrdom during the operation.
Clearance operations are continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.
The military reaffirmed its commitment to continuing counterterrorism operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, stating that actions against militancy would continue without interruption until the complete eradication of terrorism and its external support networks.

Earlier, security forces have killed 27 Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in Miran Shah area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district over past 72 hours.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces engaged multiple khawarij locations in the area in continuation of a series of intelligence-based operations in the district.
“Following intense fierce exchanges of fire, in the last seventy-two hours, 27 khawarij belonging to India-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij have been sent to hell,” said ISPR.
