Sebastian Stan drops ‘The Batman: Part II’ casting bombshell after wild speculation
For a long time, speculations and reports described Sebastian Stan – part of the MCU as the Winter Soldier – as set to have an awe-inspiring role in the new DCU.
Now, the confirmation comes straight from the horse’s mouth.
In an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche, a French weekly, conducted last May during the Cannes Film Festival, Stan said he is indeed playing Harvey Dent, or Two-Face, in the sequel to Matt Reeves’ Batman.
Originally, the actor was asked about another upcoming massive movie of his, Avengers: Doomsday.
“We didn’t have a script. We were just shooting scattered scenes. It’s a different way of working, continuous, constantly evolving, he said.
“The producers didn’t want us to read it in its entirety, to avoid journalists asking us questions. I’ve been following this rule for fifteen years, I’m used to it.”
Didn’t reveal much about Marvel’s upcoming tentpole, but Stan did drop a major bombshell about his role in The Batman: Part II.
“I also can’t say anything about The Batman: Part II, by Matt Reeves, where I play Harvey Dent,” he revealed.
“The beauty of this profession also lies in participating in projects of this scale, which I love as a viewer.”
His admission comes as casual fans are swept into a frenzy, as Harvey Dent becomes one of the iconic faces of Batman.
As the filming of The Batman: Part II in works; it will hit cinemas on Feb 18, 2028.
