Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs injures head in prison: Cause of injury that led to hospitalisation revealed
He is serving a 50-month prison sentence after he was convicted on 2 counts of transportation for prostitution in 2025
Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly sustained a head injury after hitting his head on a bunk bed at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, prompting a hospital visit.
On October 13, a source told Page Six, the 56-year-old rapper struck his head on the bunk above him and was doing much better.
TMZ previously reported that Combs was transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility at approximately 1am on Saturday for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
The music mogul was reportedly conscious and speaking following the incident. However, the precise circumstances surrounding the injury have not been independently confirmed.
A representative for Combs said, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances.”
The representative added, “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Combs is serving a 50-month prison sentence imposed in July 2025 after he was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution. He has repeatedly denied allegations of wrongdoing.
His hospital visit comes amid reports about his prison conditions.
In September, NBC News reported allegations from four anonymous prisoners that Combs had access to special privileges, including assistance with cleaning and cooking.
The report also alleged access to prohibited items, including a mobile phone.
Following those reports, TMZ reported that Combs had been returned to solitary confinement. Page Six also confirmed that his projected release date had moved from January 21, 2028 to March 2, 2028.
TMZ further reported that Combs had faced disciplinary action over alleged fights and mobile phone violations during his incarceration.
