Tournament to take place in February-March next year with matches scheduled in Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi
As cricket fans gear up for the ninth edition of the much-awaited Pakistan Super League (PSL), the franchises have finalised their squads after the players’ draft concluded on Wednesday.
The event, held at Lahore’s National Cricket Academy (NCA), was attended by team owners, coaches, and top Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials including board’s Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf.
Here’s a look into the team’s squads for the tournament.
Final squads of PSL teams:
Karachi Kings: Kieron Pollard, Daniel Sams, Mohammad Nawaz, Tim Siefert, James Vince, Hasan Ali, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik, Tabraiz Shamis, Mohammad Amir Khan, Anwar Ali, Arafat Minhas, Mir Hamza, Muhammad Akhlaq, Muhammad Irfan Niazi, Sirajuddin, Saad Baig, and Jamie Overton.

Last week, Geo News reported that PSL 9, set to take place in February-March next year, will have matches played in four major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi.
The teams will start gathering on February 12 where they will take part in practice sessions and matches across four days.
The event will start from February 17 in Lahore with defending champions Lahore Qalandars facing Islamabad United in the opening match. Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings will play in Multan on February 18.
Meanwhile, it is suggested that the first game in Karachi is to be played between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings on February 28.
Matches in Rawalpindi will start on March 1 with United playing Quetta Gladiators.
Furthermore, six double-headers will also be played during the tournament — with 11 matches scheduled to take place in Karachi, nine in Lahore and Rawalpindi each, and five in Multan.
Three playoff matches and the final will take place in Karachi, with the final scheduled on March 17.
