Nicole Kidman ready to ‘throw her career away’ for ex Tom Cruise after Keith Urban divorce?

Tom Cruise is reportedly desperate to meet her former wife, Nicole Kidman, after her divorce from Keith Urban.

For those unaware, Kidman and Cruise tied the knot in 1990, adopted two children together, Isabella Jane Cruise and Connor Cruise, and annulled their marriage in 2001. Following their divorce, both kids decided to live with Cruise. Kidman married Urban in 2006, welcomed two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, and announced their separation in September 2025 after 19 years of their marriage; however, their divorce was finalized in January 2026.

An insider told National Esquire, “Not so long ago, it really irritated Tom that Nicole would talk about him in interviews.”

“But he’s now saying she clearly has some unresolved issues and if it’s cathartic for her to talk about them, then he can accept it,” the source claimed.

Notably, this comes after Kidman revealed to British Vogue that she was asked not to marry the Mission Impossible star due to the fear that her decision is “really going to affect” her career.

Calling to mind, she said, “I’m like, ‘So what? I wasn’t meant to marry the man I love? Of course I’ll throw my career away. I don’t care.’”

“In fairness to Nicole, it’s not like she’s going into detail and ripping him to pieces. She’s talking more about her own journey and who she was at the time, and she’s careful not to put him down, which he appreciates,” the insider stated.

Cruise considers this the right time to get “some things off their chests. Clearly, Nicole needs to.”

“They’ve talked about meeting up as a family with Bella and Connor, but it’s never actually happened, and Tom is saying he’s going to make that a priority,” the source said.
