Maryam Nawaz pays tribute to Pakistan Army

A grand and spirited ceremony was held at the Wagah Border to mark the first anniversary of the victory in the “Battle for Truth,” showcasing strong patriotism and national unity.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attended the event as the chief guest, paying tribute to the nation, the Pakistan Armed Forces, and the country’s martyrs.

In her address, Maryam Nawaz congratulated the entire nation on what she described as a historic victory, emphasizing that Pakistan’s security is non-negotiable. She stated that the country’s 250 million citizens stand united like “Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” always supporting their armed forces in times of need.

She honored the sacrifices of the martyrs, saying the nation is proud of its brave heroes whose contributions ensure the country’s safety. She reiterated that peace and security remain Pakistan’s red lines and that any aggression will be met with a strong response.

The Chief Minister also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, crediting him with making Pakistan a nuclear power, thereby strengthening its defense. She also praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for elevating Pakistan’s image on the global stage.

Commending military leadership, she highlighted the professionalism of Field Marshal Asim Munir and the armed forces, stating that the enemy was left surprised by the effective response. She added that the entire nation salutes the military leadership and soldiers guarding the borders.

The ceremony concluded with participants expressing their solidarity and love for the armed forces through patriotic slogans, flags, and national songs.
