According to Radar Online, the Queen of Pop is frustrated after Michael surpassed $900 million at the global box office.
The success of the drama about the late King of Pop starring Jaafar Jackson has reignited Madonna’s long-rumoured competitive streak with Michael. “Madonna is incredibly competitive, and Jackson was always the one artist she measured herself against,” an insider told the outlet.
It is pertinent to mention that Madonna has spent years developing a biopic based on her own life, taking an active role in shaping scripts and overseeing the project’s creative direction.
However, the film has faced delays, rewrites and setbacks. Now, she is said to be disappointed to see Hollywood celebrating the legacy of Michael Jackson.
The source said, “she’s watching Hollywood celebrate Michael, while her movie cannot get made.”
