Kylie Kelce recently opened up about preparing her daughters for limelight after her family became famous.
For those unaware, the American podcaster shares four daughters, Wyatt, 7, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 19 months, with her husband, Jason Kelce.
Kylie, who hosted guest Joanna Gaines on the Thursday, November 5 episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, shed light on raising her children in the spotlight.
She said, “Our kids are young, and obviously there are situations we can’t control, like being out in public and whatever.”
The mother of four stated, “I always say, we’re not gonna hole up in our house and keep our kids hidden. We’re not hermits.”
Kylie went on to add that she wants her daughters to “experience the world” in a more normal way.
“But at the same time, it’s interesting to try and navigate those moments with kids. I always explain it that I think people sort of lose sight, and their excitement overrides social etiquette or proper social behavior. And their excitement is like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s whoever,’ and it’s like, whoever is 5 years old.”
“Every single time we get out of the car when we’re going somewhere, I’m like, ‘Just because someone knows mom’s name does not mean that mom knows them.’ Or ‘Just because someone might call you by your name, you might not know them,’” Kylie Kelce explained.
