King Charles is reportedly genuinely happy as Prince Harry settles back into life in the UK.
Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl shared the revelation during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I was speaking to a contact close to the king today who was saying he is genuinely pleased that Harry is coming back, that it’s going to mean he gets to see more of his son,” she said.
Nicholl added that the king will also get to spend more time with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
“He’s going to get to see more of his grandchildren, and I think for any grandfather, regardless of his health, that is something to look forward to,” she said.
She added that King Charles hopes other members of the royal family will also welcome Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
However, according to the royal commentator, a reconciliation between Prince Harry and his older brother, Prince William, is unlikely in the near future.
“I think a lot of people would like to see that. I’m still being told that that is some way off, that William is still very angry that he has been completely blindsided by the Sussexes’ very sudden decision to move back to Britain,” Nicholl said.
