Ruby Rose alleges past incident in Melbourne, says she is reconsidering experience.
Pop star Katy Perry has once again found herself at the center of controversy after resurfaced interviews and recent allegations sparked widespread debate across social media.
The issue began when Australian actress Ruby Rose alleged that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her during a night out in Melbourne nearly two decades ago.
According to Rose, she initially dismissed the incident as a “funny drunk story,” but later came to reconsider the experience, saying she was unable to fully process it at the time.
Rose further claimed that there may have been witnesses to the alleged incident and suggested she has considered legal options. However, no formal complaint or legal case has been confirmed so far.
Adding to the controversy a resurfaced 2014 interview of actress Anna Kendrick on Conan O’Brien’s talk show has also gone viral. In the interview, Kendrick referred to an “aggressive” interaction involving Katy Perry at a public event. Although the remarks were originally made in a light-hearted context, they are now being widely reinterpreted online.
In response, Katy Perry’s representatives have strongly denied all allegations, calling them “categorically false” and describing them as “dangerous, reckless lies.” The statement also questioned the credibility of the claims being circulated.
At present, the matter remains based on public statements and resurfaced media content, with no confirmed legal proceedings. The controversy continues to fuel heated discussion across social media platforms.
