Karoline Leavitt praises ‘American Idol’ winner Hannah Harper

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Monday took to social media to voice support for the American Idol 2026 winner, Hannah Harper.

Sharing a photo on her Instagram Stories,  Leavitt, who recently gave birth to a baby girl, said she loved this season of the American Idol and Hannah Harper.

“Does anyone else still watch American Idol?” she said jokingly before commending Hannah. 

Hannah Harper was crowned the winner of season 24 of American Idol. 

The 25-year-old  performed Chris Tomlin’s “At The Cross (Love Ran Red)” in tears to end the special night. 

Harper competed against Jordan McCullough and Keyla Richardson, who ended up in second and third place.

During her audition, the Missouri native left judge Carrie Underwood in tears with her original song called “String Cheese” about a personal struggle with postpartum depression.

She has been married to Devon Mendenhall since April 7, 2018. They are high school sweethearts, have three children together, and as of 2026 they are still happily married.

Now an aspiring songwriter, Hannah combines her vast experience from years of performing with her unique personal insights. Her music often reflects her life’s journey, including her heartfelt tribute to motherhood in the song “String Cheese.” While balancing her musical aspirations with the joys and challenges of raising a family, Hannah remains committed to authenticity and excellence in her craft.
