Since Kanye West’s comeback tour, he has drawn crowds from corners of the world to his concerts.

The most recent was in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

At the power show, the city’s governor, in his latest statement, credited the Chicago rapper with drawing a massive crowd, turning Jakarta into a global concert hotspot.

According to Katadata, Jakarta governor Pramono Anung said, “Last night, there was a Ye concert. Around 60,000 people attended, 30,000 of whom were foreigners. That’s never happened before.”

Those figures highlighted the star power of West in pulling a stunning number of concertgoers for his only stop in Southeast Asia.

Details of the bulk of foreign fans attending Ye’s show arrived from Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, according to Raw Vision Collective, the concert’s promoter, which sold 20,500 tickets outside Indonesia.

Breaking down the ticket sales, first-day purchasers came from around 73 countries, highlighting Ye’s global reach.

Beyond ticket sales, over 5,000 Indonesian workers were employed in sectors such as hotels, transport services, and restaurants to cater to the influx of visitors for West’s show, according to Katadata.

After Jakarta, West’s next stop is Houston, Texas. He will then head to Arlington, TX, and Glendale, AZ.
