Mendler has largely stepped away from the entertainment industry in recent years. Her last studio album, Hello My Name Is…, was released in 2012 and featured popular tracks including “Ready or Not” and “Hurricane”. Her most recent official music release was the single “Driving” in 2017.
The actress first gained prominence through Disney Channel productions including Good Luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place and the television film Lemonade Mouth.
Since leaving acting, Mendler has focused on higher education and technology.
She earned degrees from the University of Southern California, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Law School before co-founding aerospace communications company Northwood Space in 2023.
She currently serves as chief executive of the California-based satellite communications startup.
