The US intelligence has revealed some shocking details regarding Iran’s missile arsenal, which not only exhibit Tehran’s strengthened position in recent conflict but also contradict President Donald Trump claims.
Earlier, the President claimed of “decimating” Iran’s missile capabilities in recent strikes, but a recent US intelligence assessment tells a different story to the world.
As reported by The New York Times, Tehran still retains significant missile capabilities by restoring operational access to 30 of the 33 missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz.
Other facilities are not completely inactive, they have regained some degree of operational access. Through partially operational sites, Iran is launching missiles and deploying mobile launchers.
Some classified assessments by senior US officials also disclosed that around 90 percent of Iran’s underground missile facilities are now either partially or fully operational. Talking about Islamic Republic’s missile stockpiles and mobile launchers including cruise and ballistic missiles , it still holds 70 percent of them.
The data directly go against the statements by US leadership claiming Iran was considered “ineffective.”
The Islamic Republic maintains a “still holding the trigger” stance, signaling military readiness while simultaneously pushing for a negotiated settlement.
As per NYT report, the scale of Operation Epic Fury has depleted US stockpiles in the wake of increasing strikes on Iran. During the conflict, Washington used 1000+ Tomahawk missiles, 1,100+ long-range stealth cruise missiles and more than 1,300 patriot interceptor missiles.
Experts warn that replacing these high-tech stockpiles could take years, weakening the US position in other global theaters.
