Karachi: Social media personality Yasra, along with her two brothers and sister, has been taken into custody in connection with a high-profile robbery that netted approximately Rs. 130 million from a businessman’s residence in the PECHS Karachi.
The daring heist, carried out on June 26, involved suspects impersonating law enforcement officials, leading to widespread public and media attention.
Authorities confirmed that four individuals—Yasra, Nimra, Shahryar, and Shahroz—have been detained for questioning. The investigation reveals that the suspects are active on TikTok and allegedly used fake FIA uniforms to deceive the victim and his family.
Sources close to the inquiry disclosed that the accused gained entry into the residence by impersonating FIA officers during an alleged raid. Once inside, they reportedly looted a significant sum of cash, along with luxury watches, mobile devices, and other valuables, before fleeing the scene.
Yasra, whose background includes modeling and appearances in Pakistani television dramas, has recently been in the spotlight. Video clips surfacing online show her alongside both Pakistani and Indian artists, adding a controversial dimension to her profile.
Surveillance footage from the scene has also emerged, offering a detailed account of the robbery. The video shows the businessman, Salik, placing a cloth over his car before a black vehicle pulls up. Two women dressed in burqas approach first, followed by a man who confronts Salik at gunpoint.
The footage captures the suspects entering the house, with one woman seen carrying an empty bag upon entry, and later, a suspect leaving with a bag visibly stuffed with stolen items.
Commenting on the case, SP Jamshed Division Umair Tariq Bajari confirmed the arrests and emphasized that the suspects, all siblings, orchestrated the crime using counterfeit FIA uniforms. The police are continuing their investigation to recover the stolen valuables and apprehend any accomplices.
