Gwyneth Paltrow faces backlash for promoting Israeli luxury property campaign amid Gaza crisis

The advertising campaign features Paltrow highlighting international lifestyle branding for the Israeli development
Hollywood actress and wellness entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow has faced backlash after being announced as the face of a luxury residential advertising campaign in Herzliya, Israel, amid the ongoing war in Gaza and Lebanon.
Paltrow fronts the 51 PARK campaign, a high-end residential project in Herzliya comprising two 51-storey towers developed by Aviv Melisron, featuring amenities including a swimming pool, cinema and retail spaces.
The announcement comes as Israel continues its military operations in Gaza, where medical sources have reported 72,819 deaths and 172,894 injuries since October 7, 2023.
Social media reaction included criticism from Huda Kattan, who said, “She knows exactly what is happening there! This video is disgusting! Shame on her!” and Alana Hadid, who wrote, “Dude the level of unhinged capitalism is (expletive) astounding. Brutal. Girl. Have you opened a newspaper or watch the news. This is not even tone deaf it’s actually complicit.”
Other online reactions included comments such as “Fork found in kitchen”, “she can apply all the goop creams she wants, she’s still rotten inside”, and “watch people act surprised like she isn’t a wellness shill that made being an obnoxious out of touch rich person her brand”.
The advertising campaign, largely filmed in New York, features Paltrow in promotional scenes highlighting international lifestyle branding for the Israeli development, which has intensified discussion about celebrity endorsements during geopolitical conflict periods in recent weeks.
