LAHORE: The Punjab government is launching the second phase of its free laptop distribution scheme to give more students access to digital learning.

According to the Higher Education Department, the merit-based distribution will begin next month, with the official schedule already finalized. The Chief Minister of Punjab is expected to inaugurate the program at a ceremony in the first or second week of September.

In the first phase, 14,000 laptops were handed out to students in Lahore. The new phase will expand the program to reach more deserving students across Punjab, showing the government’s commitment to higher education and digital inclusion.
