Oppo has revealed several new AI features that will be part of its ColorOS 16 software, based on Android 16, ahead of the launch of the Find X9 Ultra on April 21.
One of the key features is AI Mind Space, which now includes an AI Bill Manager. This tool can automatically read and save spending details from digital receipts and payment records. Users can turn it on by pressing the Snap Key or by using a three-finger swipe after making a payment.
The system also allows users to ask questions, using personal data stored in AI Mind Space to give more relevant answers. It can work with multiple AI models at the same time, letting users choose their preferred model or compare responses from different ones.
ColorOS 16 also introduces AI Menu Translation, which is designed to help travelers understand restaurant menus. It can translate menu items, identify ingredients, show images of dishes, and convert prices into the user’s chosen currency.
Another new feature is AI Email Brief, which provides a daily summary of emails from the past 24 hours. It highlights important messages, meetings, and tasks, and allows users to add events to their calendar with a single tap.
The update also includes Live Space, a feature that lets users switch between capsule-style and stacked notifications on the lock screen using simple gestures. It is designed to keep the screen clean while still showing important updates.
Oppo also mentioned that it is working with Google to bring AirDrop-like file sharing through Quick Share to the Find X9 Ultra. However, it is not yet confirmed if this feature will be available at launch or added later through an update.
The Find X9 Ultra is set to be officially launched on April 21.
