Hailie Jade Mathers, daughter of Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Scott, is anxious about her mother after a difficult few months.
Scott, 51, recently pled no contest to a DUI charge and was later arrested again on a similar charge. She was taken into custody again after a judge determined she had violated the terms of her bond multiple times. Last month, Scott was hospitalised after a mental health crisis at her home.
A source told Page Six that Hailie has remained supportive of her mother throughout the years, despite their relationship having ups and downs.
“Hailie has never stopped loving her mom no matter what. She’s been worried about Kim and just wants to see her healthy again,” a source told Page Six. “Their relationship has definitely had its ups and downs over the years, but Hailie has always tried not to judge her.”
“She knows her mom has faced a lot over the years. Any time something happens with her mom, it’s emotional because she never wants to get that kind of news,” the insider continued.
The source added that Hailie, now a mother herself after welcoming a son last year, has gained a deeper understanding of how complicated family relationships can be.
“Becoming a wife and a mom herself has given Hailie an even greater appreciation for how complicated family relationships can be,” said the source.
She reportedly wants to support her mother while also protecting the stability of her own growing family.
“Hailie wants to be there for her mom in whatever way she can while also protecting the life she’s built with her own family.”
When Scott was taken into custody recently, the judge indicated she could be released if she agrees to enter inpatient treatment. Prosecutors say she violated bond conditions related to required alcohol monitoring.
Scott and Eminem share daughter Hailie. Scott is also mother to two other children, one of whom was later adopted by Eminem. The rapper also adopted a daughter of Scott’s sister, who passed away in 2016 following a long struggle with addiction.
