The actor and Barbara Palvin are expecting their first child, a baby girl, as they prepare for parenthood.
Actor Dylan Sprouse and his wife, model Barbara Palvin, are expecting their first child, a baby girl. The “Suite Life of Zack & Cody” star, 33, recently shared his excitement about becoming a father and said he is looking forward to embracing his new role as a “girl dad.”
Sprouse revealed the baby’s gender during the debut episode of his podcast Wildmen, which he hosts with Brendan Columbus. He shared that the couple has been calling their daughter “principessa,” an Italian word meaning “princess.”
“Yes, we are having a baby girl, which I’m very excited about,” Sprouse said, adding, “I’m excited to be a girl dad, actually.”
The actor explained that welcoming a daughter will be a new experience for him because he grew up in a family of boys.
“We have a very small family in general, but this is the first Sprouse girl in a very long time, which makes me nervous because I come from a family of just boys,” he said.
Sprouse added that although raising a daughter feels unfamiliar, he is excited about the journey ahead.
“I just also unironically love a tea party,” he joked.

Sprouse and Palvin first revealed they were expecting their first child while attending the 79th Annual Cannes Film Festival in France.
Palvin, who is currently in her third trimester, said she believes becoming a father to a daughter will bring out a softer side of Sprouse.
“You’re going to be so stressed about the princess,” she joked, adding that fatherhood would “mellow” him.
The couple, who have been married for three years, said they are still deciding on a name for their daughter as they prepare to welcome their first child.
