Dancing With The Stars Season 35 reached a pivotal stage on Disney Night, as eight remaining couples competed for a place in the next round with individual performances and highly anticipated team dances.

The eighth week of the ABC competition featured Broadway-inspired routines celebrating Disney favourites, including Hercules, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Tangled and High School Musical. Broadway star Cynthia Erivo joined the ballroom as a special guest commentator.

Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson delivered one of the night’s standout performances, earning a perfect 40 out of 40 for their jazz routine to “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins.

Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy also secured their first perfect score of the season, receiving 40 points for their quickstep to “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast.

Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach impressed the judges with their samba to “Under the Sea”, scoring 37 points, while Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov earned 34 for their quickstep inspired by Hercules.

The team dances added another competitive dimension. Team Slaytopia scored 36 points for its performance to “Zoo” from Zootopia 2, while Team Wildcats claimed the highest possible score of 40 for “We’re All in This Together” from High School Musical.

Despite strong performances, Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa were eliminated, bringing their Season 35 journey to an end.

Harry Shum Jr. secured immunity for the following week after winning the cumulative scoring tiebreaker against Jenna Dewan by one point.

The competition continues with Grammy Night next week, returning to its regular Tuesday time slot.
