Drake teases ‘ICEMAN’ release date with ice sculpture display in Toronto

At the base of the structure, a piece of paper displaying the album’s release date is embedded within the ice

Drake has revealed the release date for his upcoming album ICEMAN , through a large-scale promotional installation in Toronto.

After weeks of speculation and limited details about the project, the rapper confirmed the date via an ice sculpture placed in the parking lot of the Bond Hotel in downtown Toronto.

At the base of the structure, a piece of paper displaying the album’s release date was embedded within the ice.

The installation appears to reference a recent Instagram story shared by Drake, in which he posted a screenshot of an iMessage conversation reading “It’s in,” alongside an image of two ice blocks.

The post prompted speculation that the artist had submitted the final version of the album, but it has now been clarified that the message referred to the release date reveal.

The promotional campaign follows a series of events linked to the album rollout.

Last week, explosions were reported in Toronto, which were later connected to the filming of the “Project Bot” music video, as indicated by Instagram stories from DJ Akademiks, Anthony Fantano and Drake.

Drake first introduced ICEMAN in July last year through a series of livestreams. During these broadcasts, he premiered several tracks, including “What Did I Miss” featuring Central Cee, “Which One,” also with Central Cee, and “DOG HOUSE” with Yeat and Julia Wolf.

While further details about the album remain limited, the unconventional reveal marks a notable moment in the rollout strategy. More information about ‘ICEMAN’ is expected to emerge in the coming days.
