Demi Lovato has confirmed that she is all set to make her return to Camp Rock 3.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine at the L.A. premiere on Monday, August 10, the 33-year-old American singer and songwriter revealed that she is returning to reprise her role as Mitchie Torres in the third installment of Camp Rock.
Lovato admitted to the outlet that keeping her return an absolute secret has “definitely been hard,” considering the fact that she, along with the Jonas Brothers, is also serving as an executive producer.
She shared, “People have been asking, ‘Are you a part of it?’ And I’ve been having to say, ‘Well, I’m an executive producer, and you’ll just have to wait and see.’”
“I can’t wait for the world to see it,” the Grey’s Anatomy star said.
Lovato confessed that getting a chance to play the same role again that shot her to stardom in 2008 was a moving experience.
She explained, “It felt so amazing to step into Mitchie’s shoes again. I had so much fun getting to reunite with the Jonas Brothers and Maria [Canals-Barrera]. She was so great. Getting to do my scenes with her was incredible.”
“It was so healing and so nostalgic for me to be a part of this film, and I’m so happy.”
“Seeing this generation take on these roles was so exciting to me. Camp Rock means so much to me. It always has. And now it’s going to mean so much to a whole new group of people, who are so talented and deserve every bit of success that comes their way,” the Confident crooner said.
It is pertinent to mention that Camp Rock 3, which will also mark the return of the Jonas Brothers with Demi Lovato, is set to premiere on Disney Channel on August 13, 2026. It will also start streaming on Disney+ the next day, on August 14. Watch the trailer here.
