Hollywood and theatre collide on Broadway’s biggest stage as top stars including Daniel Radcliffe and Rose Byrne earn prestigious Tony Award nominations for standout performances.
The upcoming Tony Awards have unveiled a glittering list of nominees, with major recognition going to some of the most celebrated names in film and theatre, including Daniel Radcliffe and Rose Byrne.
The annual ceremony, which honors excellence in American theatre, will take place in New York on June 7 and will be hosted by singer Pink.
Radcliffe has earned a nomination for his emotionally charged solo performance in “Every Brilliant Thing” a play that explores themes of mental health and human connection.
Meanwhile, Byrne has been recognized for her role in Noël Coward’s classic comedy Fallen Angels, earning praise for her sharp and elegant stage presence.
Joining them in the spotlight are acclaimed performers Lesley Manville and John Lithgow. Manville has been nominated for her powerful performance in the Greek tragedy Oedipus, while Lithgow has been recognized for portraying Roald Dahl in Giant, both productions having previously enjoyed success in London’s West End.
Also among the nominees is Layton Williams, who has earned attention for his comedic and unconventional role as the iceberg in the musical parody Titaníque, marking another successful transfer from the UK stage to Broadway.
This year’s nominations are led by two standout productions, each securing 12 nods a musical adaptation of the 1987 cult film The Lost Boys, and a stage version of Apple TV’s series Schmigadoon!
Other notable productions in contention include Ragtime, Death of a Salesman, and The Rocky Horror Show, all of which continue to demonstrate Broadway’s creative diversity and global appeal.
