'Dancing With The Stars' Season 35 Viral Hits Night recap: Scores, best moments, and who left?
Dancing With The Stars Season 35 returned on Tuesday, September 22, with its first full live competition featuring all remaining contestants.
Viral Hits Night brought social media favourites, demanding routines and the season’s third elimination.
Fourteen celebrities competed after last week’s two-part premiere saw separate eliminations. Judges maintained their strict scoring approach, while a new rule required the third judge to deliver feedback in just one word following last week’s overrun.
Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy earned 21 out of 30 for their jive to KATSEYE's“Animal”.
Paralympian Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach also scored 21 for their cha cha to Flo Rida’s “Low”, while Olympian Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov received the same score for their tango inspired by Heated Rivalry.
Ciara Miller impressed with a tango to Tinashe and Disco Lines’ “No Broke Boys”, earning 18 points.
Harry Shum Jr, Maura Higgins and other returning contestants faced new technical challenges as the competition intensified.
However, the night ended with Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Bersten leaving the competition after scoring 12 out of 30 for their salsa to Becky G’s “Bella Ciao”.
Despite showing commitment, De Laurentiis struggled to deliver the power judges wanted.
The remaining 13 couples will return next Tuesday for Yacht Rock Night, as the competition continues on ABC.
