
KARACHI: The Additional District Judge-1 Quetta has suspended the recognition of a parallel Balochistan squash association by Pakistan Squash Federation.
The judge passed the suspension order after hearing the appeal under section 96 of CPC against the order dated 28-3-2025 passed by judicial magistrate/Civil Judge-XII Quetta. The appeal was filed by former chairman of BSA Sher Ali Kakar against the officials of parallel BSA.
“Points raised by the learned counsel needs consideration, therefore, the operation of impugned order dated 28-3-2025 passed by the learned trial court and letter No.PSF/11/Election dated April 7, 2025, issued by Secretary Pakistan Squash Federation are suspended till next date of hearing,” stated S. G. Qadir Shah Bukhari, Additional District Judge-I, Quetta, in his orders.
Secretary PSF Amir Nawaz said in the notification, “This is to certify that Balochistan Squash Association is duly affiliated and recognized provincial body under the umbrella of Pakistan Squash Federation”.
He mentioned the names of the current officials of BSA as: M Arshad (President); Abid Khan Kakar (SVP); Kaleem Khan Kakar (VP); Zafar ul Islam Khan (Secretary); and Salman Nasir (Treasurer).
On May 20, while hearing the petition by Sher Ali Kakar against the officials of the parallel BSA, the Civil Judge-V Quetta upheld the suspension orders passed by the additional district judge.
Following the court orders, the Directorate General Sports Balochistan has restrained the above mentioned officials of parallel BSA from showing themselves as officials of BSA and interfering in the affairs of squash courts at Ayub Stadium.
According to the notification (No. DG-Sports/1-62/2025/3197-99) issued by the Directorate, the officials of parallel BSA namely M Arshad, Abid Khan, Salman Nasir, Kaleemullah Kakar, and Zahid Gul had been restricted till the next orders by Civil Judge V Quetta.
