Chad Lowe lists $3.25 million Los Angeles home after 13-year-old daughter Fiona’s death
Lowe and his wife Kim Painter have reportedly accepted an offer for their LA home following their daughter’s death
Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, have reportedly agreed to sell their Los Angeles home for $3.249 million, weeks after the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona.
The couple’s 3,239-square-foot property in the Mar Vista neighbourhood was listed on October 16, according to TMZ, which cited real estate records.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home features vaulted ceilings and Spanish-style architecture. Lowe and Painter purchased it in March 2025 for $3.15 million.
TMZ reported that the couple accepted an offer of $3.249 million, although the deal remains “contingent on certain conditions being met”.
Fiona died on 29 September 29. The medical examiner’s office confirmed her death by suicide, as reported by People. She was the second of Lowe and Painter’s three daughters, alongside Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
The family announced the loss in a statement shared with People, describing Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance”.
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” they added. “In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
The family also requested privacy as they grieved and encouraged anyone experiencing mental health difficulties to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
The reported property sale follows another major loss for the family. Their previous home was destroyed in the Pacific Palisades Fire in early 2025.
In February that year, Lowe shared photographs of his daughters returning to see the remains of their home, praising their “spirit and resilience” as they faced the aftermath.
