Alix Earle has revealed that she has never read a book, making the admission during a rapid-fire Q&A with Interview magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg.
The 25-year-old influencer was asked, “What’s the last book you’ve read?” Earle replied, “I’ve never read a book.”
“Like, maybe Dr. Seuss,” she added, referring to the children’s books by Theodor Seuss Geisel.
The confession quickly drew attention in the comments section of Interview magazine’s Instagram post, with several users questioning Earle’s admission.
One commenter wrote, “PSA during this literacy crisis: READING MAKES YOU HOT AND COOL,” while another said, “She’s never read a book? why are we listening to idiocy 😒 the world is beyond messed up.”
Another critic asked, “NEVER READ A BOOK!!!! Alix, what the hell??? Were you homeschooled? Did you not have to read to Kill a Mockingbird in 9th grade?? WHAT,”
Some fans, however, responded positively to Earle’s candidness. One supporter commented, “She is funny and also magnetic asf… Can’t look away.”
During the same Q&A, Earle addressed another viral topic: whether bringing iced coffee to a job interview is unprofessional.
While sipping an iced drink, she said, “I don’t really see a problem with that,” before adding, “I guess that’s a Gen Z problem.”
Earle also joked about whether she would reunite with an ex.
Her comments come after her December 2025 split from NFL athlete Braxton Berrios following two years of dating, a storyline later explored on her Netflix reality series, Earle Meets World.
