Alix Earle breaks silence on Alex Cooper feud, says she felt ‘taken advantage of’ and ‘manipulated’

Cooper, 32, had accused Earle of creating “fake drama” to distract from other issues in her life

Alix Earle has finally opened up about her long-running feud with Alex Cooper, revealing that she felt “scared of” and “intimidated” by the Call Her Daddy host during their professional relationship.

Earle, 25, addressed the fallout in the eighth and final episode of her Netflix reality series Earle Meets World, which premiered on Friday, September 4, 2026. The episode sees the influencer discuss the dispute with her family after Cooper publicly called her out in a TikTok in April.

Cooper, 32, had accused Earle of creating “fake drama” to distract from other issues in her life. At the time, Earle responded to Cooper’s video by commenting, “Okay on it!!” but largely stayed quiet about the situation publicly.

In the Netflix series, however, Earle explained that she felt as though she was “being baited into saying something” and admitted that she was “scared of” Cooper.

The feud dates back to Earle’s podcast Hot Mess leaving Cooper’s Unwell media network in March 2025. Earle was among the first creators signed to the company when it launched in 2023.

According to Earle, she discovered that she was no longer working with Unwell through media reports. She also alleged that there had been “constantly issues” with the company and said the experience was not what she had expected.

Her father, TJ Earle, claimed that his daughter had not been given the same production resources as other Unwell shows, saying she did not have a crew to assist with filming and production.

Looking back on her relationship with Cooper, Earle said she had initially viewed the podcast host as an idol and hoped she would become a mentor to her.

“From the start, I didn’t realize things were going wrong because I was obsessed with her,” Earle said. “This is my idol. I’m so happy to work with her.”

She then claimed that she eventually felt “taken advantage of and used and mistreated and manipulated”.

Earle also revisited her January 2025 appearance on Call Her Daddy, where she and Cooper played a “Truth or Drink” game. Earle alleged that she asked for some of the interview to be removed afterwards, but Cooper believed the footage was funny.

“We’re filming her podcast, and she’s having us drink before and then asking me really sexual questions I wasn’t comfortable with,” Earle claimed. “But then I’m also answering ‘cause I’m drunk.”

Earle said she was uncomfortable with some of the material remaining online, particularly because of the personal nature of the questions.

“I’m imagining myself in her shoes, to take someone in college, who’s young, impressionable, you know looks up to you, and then ask them these raunchy questions,” she said. “It’s stuff that I didn’t necessarily want to live on the internet forever.”

PEOPLE reported that Cooper has been contacted for comment.

Earle also discussed the impact her Call Her Daddy appearance had on her relationship with her stepmother, Ashley Dupré. During the interview, Earle spoke about her family’s complicated history, including Dupré’s past and her father’s affair with her.

In Earle Meets World, Dupré said that hearing Earle discuss her past on the podcast made her feel as though she had “lost my spark”, explaining that she had spent years working to rebuild her life and relationships with her family.

Later in the episode, Earle considered sending Cooper a lengthy text message confronting her over their professional relationship.

In the draft, Earle accused Cooper of being “manipulative and toxic” and claimed that Cooper had prioritised money over morals. She also alleged that she had been threatened during a previous conversation between the pair.

Earle ended the drafted message by telling Cooper that she would no longer allow herself to be frightened or trapped by the situation.

Although Earle’s father and stepmother supported her in sending the message, it remains unclear whether she actually sent it.

All eight episodes of Earle Meets World are now available to stream on Netflix.
