Timothée Chalamet blushes as Matthew McConaughey reveals Kylie Jenner’s birthday surprise for boyfriend

He explained that he had initially been unaware of the plan and was in low spirits during the journey to the venue
Timothée Chalamet appeared visibly embarrassed after Matthew McConaughey disclosed the birthday surprise Kylie Jenner organised for him during a joint interview.
The actors, who starred together in Christopher Nolan’s 2014 film Interstellar, reunited for a conversation hosted by CNN and Variety. During the discussion, McConaughey revealed that Chalamet’s girlfriend of over three years arranged a private IMAX screening of the sci-fi epic for his December 27 birthday.
Chalamet admitted that Interstellar is one of his favourite films, saying, “I saw it 12 times in the theater when it came out.” McConaughey then interjected, “His girlfriend set him up a screening of Interstellar for his birthday.”
Blushing, the Dune star confirmed the story. “This is true, man. This is true. For my last birthday.” He explained that he had initially been unaware of the plan and was in low spirits during the journey to the cinema.
“And I was grumpy on the way there because I didn’t know where she was taking me. ‘Why are we driving 30 minutes outside of LA?’ I got to the theater, it was Interstellar in IMAX,” he said. “I said, ‘Oh, I’m sorry,’” he added, “‘I’m sorry I was so grumpy on the drive.’”
Chalamet is currently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in the 2025 film Marty Supreme. Jenner has accompanied him to several awards season events as he campaigns for his first Oscar.
Earlier this month, Chalamet publicly acknowledged Jenner during his Critics’ Choice Awards acceptance speech, stating, “And lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”
