Lainey Wilson makes wedding announcement after big night at the CMAs
Lainey Wilson is almost ready to start her new chapter with soon-to-be husband Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
The country star had a big night at the 2025 Country Music Awards on Wednesday, November 19. Amid her hosting duties, she also bagged three awards: Female Vocalist of the Year (which she has won for the fourth year in a row), Entertainer of the Year (her second time winning the award), and Album of the Year for her 2024 album Whirlwind.
During her acceptance speech for Entertainer of the Year, Wilson, 33, said, “Imma be honest with y’all. I was just so tickled to be here hosting this thing tonight. I just came into here just wanting to celebrate country music, the love of my life and I know the love of so many of y’all’s lives.”
She then thanks Jesus, her mom and dad, and “Duck,” who was present in the audience.
“We’re getting married next year, come on now!” Wilson said as the audience erupted into cheer.
The Grammy-winner has had a whirlwind few years as she continues to cement her name into country legacy. And now, she’s ready to embark on a new chapter with Hodges.

Wilson and Hodges began dating in 2021, two years before they went public with their romance with a red-carpet debut at the 58th ACM Awards, where Wilson won four awards from six nominations.
The former NFL player-turned-real estate agent eventually popped the question, and the couple announced their engagement earlier this year in February.
The couple have since attended multiple star-studded events, including last year’s CMA Awards, also hosted by Wilson. She took home the award for Female Video of the Year.
