King Charles joins Andrew in hot waters with one question ‘What is he like as an employer?’
The warning bells have been rung, and King Charles’ ship is ‘sinking’ and everyone’s ‘bailing’ before it goes down.
The flurry of accusations come straight from Andrew Lownie, the renowned author and man responsible for getting the ball rolling on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the king’s younger brother.
Now it seems it’s the monarch’s turn to face the heat and, in his admission, he answered King Charles’ employer status with candour.
What is pertinent to mention about this question is that it comes straight from the author of Entitled given the frenzy of resignations by staffers.
He answered it on his Substack, in the form of a video that shows him saying, “He’s not actually a great boss. I’ve talked to people at Balmoral who claimed that they’re only employed for sort of nine months of the year.”
“there’s no tip box because the King says ‘I don’t want people to think that I’m not paying my staff properly’. But actually he pays sort of minimum wages.”
He also didn’t conclude there and instead admitted, “he is very demanding as an employer. I mean all sorts of stories of poor gardeners having to lie on the back of trucks and can’t be drawn along slowly and having to pick weeds and do various jobs.”
Moreover, “the fact that so many gardeners left all at once doesn’t bode well” he also said during the video message.
The owner of The Lownie Report Substack also claims, “of course this week we’ve also seen Jonny Thompson, his Equerry stand down after even years, maybe coincidence Clive Anderson is gone – was going next May. His cook or butler of the last 40 years is also gone. So there’s a sense of a sort of sinking ship and everyone bailing out before it goes down.
