Haripur Ayat Noor case raises fresh calls for justice in Pakistan

HARIPUR: Haripur has become the latest city at the center of a growing debate across Pakistan after another child was reportedly raped and murdered. The case of young 5-year-old, Ayat Noor has sparked widespread grief and public anger, with people demanding justice for victims, stronger action against criminals and rapists, demands tougher punishment to prevent such cases in the future.

Ayat Noor, was found dead in a well 15 days after she was reported missing, with police confirming that she had been raped and killed, leaving her family devastated and raising anger over child abuse and violence.

Her father had been searching for her day and night after she disappeared, but his search ended with the discovery of his daughter’s body. The case has left her father heartbroken as he struggles to cope with the loss of his daughter and seeks justice.

Three suspects were arrested in connection with the case. According to the information provided in the reports, the suspects admitted to the crime after their arrest. Their reported confidence has also drawn attention and added to public anger surrounding the case.

Ayat’s death has sparked grief and concern among people in Haripur and beyond. The case has also renewed fears among parents who are increasingly worried about the safety of their children.

Some social media users compared Ayat’s case with the earlier case of Aizal in Karachi. One person wrote, “Aizal did not get justice in Karachi and now we have Ayat in Haripur.”

Another person called for divine intervention, writing, “May Allah send a miracle to deal with these criminals. A third person expressed regret and wrote, “We are all wrong who can’t stop this.”
