Zulfiqar Bhutto Jr enters politics from Larkana

DADU: Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior, son of the late Mir Murtaza Bhutto, has announced his decision to contest his first election from Larkana, marking his formal entry into politics.

Speaking to reporters in Dadu, Bhutto Jr said he aims to come to power through the strength of the people, without forming alliances. “We must move forward with a new vision. Looting and occupation of Sindh’s land and mineral resources will not be tolerated,” he asserted.

He emphasized the need to distance politics from elite interests, adding, “We must not do politics like the rich. We are here with a new ideology to further the vision of Shaheed Murtaza Bhutto, and we seek to empower the people.”

On this occasion, Zulfiqar Junior announced his first election to contest Larkana, but did not say which seat of Larkana he would contest.

It is clear that Larkana has 2 seats in the National Assembly and 4 in the Provincial Assembly, from which Bilawal Bhutto has also been elected in the 2024 general elections, while in the past, Ms Benazir Bhutto and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto have also won the election from Larkana.
