When is Diddy getting released from prison? Exact date revealed

Sean “Diddy” Combs still has a few years left behind bars, but it won’t be too long before he’s out.
The disgraced hip-hop mogul’s prison release date has been revealed following his four-year conviction earlier this month.
According to the Bureau of Prisons, the 55-year-old is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2028, following his 50-month prison sentence. Combs is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre but may be transferred to another facility to serve the rest of his time.
The Bad Boy Records founder was convicted in July of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, though he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges. He pleaded not guilty to all allegations and continues to deny wrongdoing.
On October 3rd, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced him to just over four years in prison, with credit for the 13 months he’s already served since his September 2024 arrest.
Combs will also face five years of supervised release and must pay a $500,000 fine.
His legal team previously urged the judge to reduce the sentence, citing “terrible conditions” at MDC, which reportedly included constant suicide watch and limited access to clean water and edible food.
Earlier this month, Diddy’s friend Charlucci Finney told the Daily Mail that the rapper had a terrifying brush with danger while in custody. “He woke up with a knife to his throat,” Finney claimed. “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened.”
Rumours that former President Donald Trump may pardon Combs have also been making the rounds, but the White House told NBC News there is “zero truth” to those claims.
