WhatsApp to introduce new interesting feature- check details here
WhatsApp is set to enhance the messaging experience with a new feature called “Message Threads,” aimed at organizing replies to specific messages into dedicated threads.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature will improve chat organization and make it easier to follow conversations. Replies to a specific message in group chats will now appear directly under that message, forming a clear and structured thread.
Users will soon be able to tap on a quoted message to see the entire thread of replies, which means they won’t have to scroll through long chats to find specific responses.
All replies will stay connected to the original message, making conversations clearer and easier to follow. This feature will work in individual chats, group chats, communities, and channels.
It’s designed to be especially helpful in group chats where topics change quickly, so it should make things more organized and user-friendly. Right now, this “Message Threads” feature is still being developed and was seen in the Android beta version 2.25.7.7. There’s no official release date yet, but it should be available in a future update.
Earlier, WhatsApp also announced that it plans to bring in its biggest advertising features yet. This is a big change for WhatsApp, which has mostly stayed ad-free since it started. The idea of adding ads has been sensitive for WhatsApp because its head denied a report in 2023 that said the app was looking into advertising to make more money.
Unlike Facebook and Instagram, WhatsApp has had very little advertising since Meta bought it in 2014. Users and regulators have always paid close attention to whether Meta would try to make more money from an app known for private chats with family and friends.
