Wedding halls set to face new tax rates in KP
A team from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), led by Assistant Collector Hizbullah Khan, held a meeting with the Wedding Hall Association of Haripur at their sub-office.
In the meeting, they discussed sales tax on services. The Assistant Collector asked all wedding hall owners to pay their taxes on time and submit accurate monthly sales tax returns as required by law.
Officials also explained recent changes to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sales Tax on Services Act 2022. These changes give wedding halls the choice to either pay a fixed tax or follow a category-based tax system.

He also mentioned that taxes on restaurants have been reduced from 10% to 6%, and there will be no taxes on businesses in FATA and PATA.
