
Universities announce online classes in Lahore
The University of the Punjab has postponed all exams that were set to take place on October 13, according to a statement issued by the university spokesperson on Monday.
The decision was made due to the current law and order situation in Lahore and other cities of Punjab. The spokesperson explained that only the October 13 exams have been rescheduled, while LLB exams will continue as planned from October 14 onward. Students have been advised to keep checking official updates for the new exam dates.
Punjab University will also remain closed for on-campus classes on October 14. However, to ensure that studies are not affected, all classes will be held online. The spokesperson confirmed that faculty members have been instructed to make all necessary arrangements for smooth virtual sessions.
Similarly, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has announced that it will also conduct online classes on October 14. A notification from UET stated that the decision was made to keep academic activities running without interruption. Students have been asked to check official university channels for information about online class schedules and links.
Both universities have urged students to stay updated with official notifications and revised schedules. Punjab University’s examination branch will soon release the new timetable for the postponed October 13 exams. Officials from both institutions have assured that maintaining academic continuity and student safety remains their top priority.
